Grow A Garden 2 guide

Mechanics

Mechanics covers the core systems that run Grow A Garden 2 day to day, from earning and spending Sheckles to harvesting crops, managing inventory, and negotiating sell prices with Steven. Together they decide how much a crop ends up worth and how a player chooses to cash it in, whether that's a straight sale, a bargain, or a gamble on Double or Nothing.

Currencies

Grow A Garden 2 launched with a currency system built around Sheckles, which currently serve as the game's main form of in-game money.

Currency Packs

Sheckles can be bought directly with Robux in several pack sizes, each with a gift option so players can send Sheckles to others. Separate Robux purchases let players skip grow time outright, instantly finishing one crop for 39 or clearing an entire plot's worth of crops and fruit for 299.

Harvesting

Harvesting is how players pick crops to sell them, and once a crop is collected there's no undoing it. Multi-harvest crops work differently: only the fruit gets removed each time, since the plant stays behind and keeps regrowing more.

Inventory

The inventory stores everything a player collects, split into segments for Seeds, Crops, Pets, Gears, and an All view, with a search tab for finding specific items and a base capacity of 325 slots. Crops can be marked as favorites so they can't be accidentally sold, and players sell crops and pets through the Sell Stand.

Price Formula

A fruit's final sell price comes from its base sell value multiplied together with factors for size, a size scaling multiplier, its mutation multiplier, a decay penalty, and any friends bonus, then rounded down. Size contributes on a curve with diminishing returns once a fruit grows past a certain threshold, rather than scaling upward without limit.

Fruit Stock

Fruit Stock layers a rotating sell multiplier or penalty onto each crop, ranging from 0.8x up to 4x, and these values reset every 10 minutes.

Double or Nothing

Double or Nothing is Steven's gambling alternative to Bargaining, letting a player risk their entire fruit inventory for a chance to keep doubling its sell value. Each round either doubles the pot or wipes it out completely with nothing returned, and after a win the player can cash out immediately, push their luck again, or back out without extra risk.

Bargaining

Bargaining lets a player pay Steven to try raising the sell price of either a single held crop or their entire sellable inventory, at a cost equal to 55% of that item's or inventory's current value. Favorited crops can't be bargained, and every attempt is a random roll that either raises Steven's offer or fails outright.
