Grow A Garden 2 Weather

Weather is the system in Grow A Garden 2 that cycles servers between day and night and layers in randomized events like Rain, Lightning, and Snowfall that speed up growth or seed crops with mutations. It matters to players because chasing the right weather, or the right moon once night hits, is often the fastest route to a high-value mutated crop.

Overview

Weather is a central system in Grow A Garden 2, speeding up crop growth and raising crop value by applying mutations. Every player on a server experiences the same weather at once, and a crop can only hold one weather mutation at a time.

List of Weathers

Weather effects break down into the day-night cycle itself, standard daytime events, and moon events that only appear at night, each with its own odds and crop effects.

Notes

Gold Moon and Rainbow Moon can still spawn their matching seeds in private servers, but the odds shift with population, more players in the server means a better chance at a gold or rainbow seed appearing.

The Eclipse Bloom: the plant that spawns Eclipse

Eclipse weather usually rolls at random (about an 8.3% chance), but it can also be brought on by the Eclipse Bloom – the first secret plant in Grow A Garden 2. It is a Secret-rarity, multi-harvest crop (base sell value 12,000, the highest of the blooms) that you make by merging a fully grown Sun Bloom and a fully grown Moon Bloom – both are consumed. It spawns an Eclipse weather event, which applies the Eclipsed mutation (80x) – second only to the 100x Glow mutation, the highest in the game – so the Eclipse Bloom is a way to trigger that weather on purpose instead of waiting for the random roll.
